Since 2001 Alison Sawyer and Isla Animals have been rehabilitating and re-homing dogs. It’s one of the most satisfying parts of animal rescue.

Every dog that Isla Animals takes in has a story to tell. They are usually weak, sick, defeated; most of the time they are removed from a high-risk situation that would have caused their death. Some have been abused or neglected, some have never been touched by a human. 

But when they come around, it makes it all that much more incredible! We’ve had dogs that wouldn’t look at anyone for months, but with consistent love and care, they have come full circle. And seeing these animals get ready and go into forever loving homes is worth the wait!
