Some days don’t go as planned. We were a little too early for a package delivery, we fed some dogs while waiting and found Sandy and her 3 puppies. The little family was covered in ticks and fleas. It was raining so much, we couldn’t leave them there.
The little ones are doing good and Mommy Sandy is already integrated in our main pack. She is 15kg, a sensitive loving young lady. Who will steal you heart in an eye blink.
Medical Information: we have noticed Sandy has potentially a perianal hernia, this is extremely rare in females. We are doing testing but for now we have been recommended to let it be and not intervene surgically, she is on an exclusive wet diet and all symptoms are under control. This is not a huge concern, but may determine her diet in the future. We are at the time unsure we can get her the surgery she needs as we need a specialized vet. However, it seems under control through her diet and doesn’t give her any discomfort.
