Isla Animals OASIS first spay and neuter campaign!

August fantastic news!!!!!!

We have been working non-stop to get here. Having Spay & Neuter Campaigns on site is a dream come true and our first one is scheduled for next week! 

It’s a very small one, planned with tons of love and care, and dedicated to street animals. We are already at capacity with trap and release cases and our dogs, so we are not opening this particular campaign to the public. However, this is something we are hoping to do in the future.

We post a lot about cases we take in, cute puppies, and getting them adopted and all. But there is a lot more that we do apart from rescuing and rehoming… sterilizations is a biiiiiig thing, as it’s the only and real solution to the outrageous issue of stray and abandoned animals in Mexico. And while building we continued sponsoring many, now it’s time to get started with them here at Isla Animals OASIS!

Our main target is animals in the streets, as their puppies are at a higher risk of dying from simple things. And these innocent creatures are the ones that we most often rescue from the jungle, under cars, in empty lots. Mommies that are r#%@ed again and again end up having TVT, apart from the more common illneses like ehrlichia or heartworm, not only spreading a deadly condition to other vulnerable dogs, but suffering themselves and eventually dying from preventable or treatable diseases. 

We are hoping to have spay and neuter campaigns on a weekly basis, maybe some bigger ones often throughout the year. We can only do this with your help!!!

A spay/neuter has a cost of 25 to 35 dollars. We are planning to do up to 50 next week.
