#SAVEISLAANIMALS Becoming Independent

Today, Monday April 24th, we have officially declined the help the govt of Isla Mujeres had offered us. However much we may appreciate them trying to fit us somewhere, the space was not adequate (10′ x 8′ room) to continue doing the work we are doing.

This means that Isla Animals will be a fully independent 501c3 registered nonprofit and Association Civil nonprofit registered in Mexico. And we will continue to focus on the doggies that we hope soon be able to start rescuing again!

We are happy to report that we have found an immediate (while still temporary) solution to our issues and once we set up the place for the dogs to be safe and cared for, we hope to be able to welcome you again and have you enjoying cuddles and doggie loving!

While this is a solution… the truth is that Isla Animals is homeless and looking for a FURever home too… just like our doggies! We are considering a variety of avenues that will ensure the future of Isla Animals and the continuation of the worthy cause we fight for. We hope to soon have a final answer to all our prayers, please keep us in your hearts, and if possible, lend us a paw by donating to our GoFundMe.
