Igor was given to us from the Guad, a poorer neighborhood on the island. While we work really hard to make sure most dogs in that area are sterilized, we obviously missed something.

Sad part is that when he was given to us, they told us something is wrong with his leg. Two seconds took us to determine there is a lot more wrong with him!

Igor has, what we believe to be genetic issues due to inbreeding. his front legs are hyperextended and his paws ere very inflamed. His back legs are underdeveloped and while he walks and runs he was a very unique way of doing so. What worries us more is that he has a congenital heart condition. For now, he is going untreated, but he’s under supervision. His body seems to have been compressed, a little bit like a dwarf dog.

But he is happy and loving his new life. We know someone will fall in love with him, for now we are making sure he has the best life ever!
